Good Shepherd Day School provides a structured, safe, loving environment for children from nursery through VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten). Developmentally appropriate sensory, motor, cognitive, and language skills are introduced through materials and activities that are both child-led and teacher directed. We emphasize the process of learning rather than the product. This approach nourishes a meaningful sense of accomplishment and pride in each child. While integrating spiritual formation into all aspects of the educational experience, Good Shepherd Preschool encourages ethnic and religious diversity, embracing the Episcopal statement that “all are welcome”. We value each child’s cultural background and recognize their differing challenges and developmental needs. Children learn through play and are empowered by having choices. Schedules are structured to balance active and quiet times. We remain open year-round with the exception of major holidays. Extended hours are designed to support the needs of working parents.
